Creating foods that are better for you while strengthening communities, one product at a time.
We believe in creating wholesome foods that feed your body what it likes and needs. We believe that products that taste good don't have to be bad for you. We believe in giving back to the community and that everyone can make a difference. We believe in personal and corporate accountability.
Katy's Goodness™ is a women-owned business focused on creating foods that are not only better-for-you but also help support communities one product at a time. Katy's LLC was established in 2008 and has created and provided food for the food industry and various programs. Our My OhMega® Cookies have been earmarked for our military community and are set to make a difference at a very local level. With every purchase, Katy’s will donate funds to military veterans and their families for help with:
With the help of leading military support organizations such as Easter Seals and Student Veterans of America, funds generated in a local market will go right back to military veteran families within that same market.
Kathleen Frantz has been in the culinary field for nearly 30 years. She studied culinary arts and culinary management with an apprenticeship under the first master chef in the USA, Milos Cihelka, and at Ecole L’Notre in France. Her children were her primary focus, and during those years she taught cooking classes, developed recipes for global food companies, edited cookbooks, and created comprehensive food design programs, including training manuals and hands-on demonstrations. Kathleen edited 14 cookbooks and has worked with internationally renowned chefs and cookbook authors such as Jacques Pepin and Rachael Ray. She also worked for a global food company in sales and marketing.
Katy’s started with the creation of muffins for Borders Bookstores and Barnie’s Tea and Coffee. The company grew and continued to develop additional products for these chains.
Katy’s passion to be of assistance to the military community set the direction for My OhMega® Cookies. Her passion was deeply ignited when she read an article about two servicemen that did not return from overseas and the plight of their spouses. She decided to be a part of the solution to strengthen their community. She partnered with Easter Seals and Student Veterans of America in 2010/2011. The product was sold in Borders, West Point, coffee houses, and on college campuses. Katy’s also partnered with Kenmore/Sears to send 250,000 My OhMega® Cookies across the world to the troops.
Today, Katy’s Goodness™ strives to create a movement of awareness and support for the military like no other, with a strong focus on empowering the military veteran community and striving to help turn around our country’s military veteran suicide rate, understanding that it is going to take everyone working together to bring the change needed. We are working to spread the goodness!
